Department of Social Services: EFF designed 3 new approved programs taught at the Nassau County DSS. These programs were taught to men/women currently seeking full time housing, currently living in shelters, at risk homeless and the working poor and focused on interviewing with landlords, filling out housing packets, monitoring a realistic family budget, understanding credit and more.
Incarceration Facilities: EFF discusses projections and creates financial plans that can start while incarcerated, acknowledging financial burdens left behind, access resources from family members and making a plan for release .
Drug Rehabilitation Centers: EFF discusses projections and creates financial plans that can start while incarcerated, acknowledging financial burdens left behind, access resources from family members and making a plan for release.
Adolescent Group Homes: EFF discusses life after group home, understanding social impacts, breaking cycles, understanding money and budgets, and discussing a healthy lifestyle.
Special Needs Facilities: EFF designs special curriculum for the special needs community, we focus on content that is appropriate for their phases of learning, focus on understanding money, needs vs wants, timelines, goals and savings, understanding money management, concept of money, budgeting, creating financial timelines, goals and savings plans.
Senior Facilities: EFF speaks to Seniors about protecting themselves from current SCAMS, senior finances and budgets and current ways to save on insurance, medications, interest rates, and more.
Veteran Programs: EFF supports our military at no cost with personal consultations, teaches at post-secondary consultations, hosts active/retired events, speaks at group homes and supports small, veteran-owned businesses, conducts programs for at risk and current homeless veterans programs. Participates with local holiday food and toy drives.
